Privacy Policy
Closer connects your sales tools so you can understand people, conversations, deals and next actions in one place. This policy explains what data we process and why.
1. Information we collect
Depending on the services you connect and the features you use, Closer may process:
- Account and device information needed to operate your Closer account.
- Business Workspace information such as business name, website, sales context, preferred sender and Sales Kit content.
- Email account identifiers, message metadata and message content from connected Gmail or Microsoft 365 accounts when necessary for conversation discovery, Deal intelligence, drafting, sending or scheduling.
- CRM data from connected services such as HubSpot and Pipedrive, including people, companies, leads, deals, stages, values and related identifiers.
- Drafts, scheduled work, approvals, Deal Memory, opportunity states and other sales workflow data you create in Closer.
- Operational logs, diagnostics, connection status and security information.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, connect requested services, consolidate sales activity, detect changes, reconcile people and deals, generate Deal intelligence and next-best-action guidance, prepare user-requested drafts, execute user-approved email actions, maintain scheduled work, provide support, prevent abuse and improve reliability.
Closer is designed so outbound email remains human-approved unless you have explicitly approved a scheduled action in advance.
3. Google user data
When you connect Gmail, Closer requests only the Google scopes required for enabled functionality. Gmail data may be used for conversation discovery, sales context, AI-assisted drafting, approved sending and related workflow features.
Closer's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it except where necessary for security, abuse investigation, legal compliance, support requested by you, or with your affirmative consent.
4. AI processing
When you use AI-assisted features, Closer may send relevant business, CRM and conversation context to configured AI infrastructure to perform the requested analysis or drafting. Closer currently uses Google Gemini through Firebase/Google services for AI functionality. We limit the context sent to what is reasonably needed for the requested feature.
5. Service providers
Closer relies on infrastructure and platform providers that may include Apple, Google/Firebase/Google Cloud, Microsoft, HubSpot and Pipedrive. Their processing is governed by their respective terms and privacy practices. We use these providers only as needed to operate Closer and the integrations you choose.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Closer, maintain security, comply with law and resolve disputes. You may disconnect integrations to stop future collection from those services. Where available in the app, you may permanently delete your Closer account; this initiates deletion of Closer-managed account data and connected credentials from our systems, subject to limited legal or security retention requirements.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect credentials and sales data, including authenticated backend access and platform security controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International processing
Closer and its providers may process data in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized mechanisms for cross-border processing.
9. Your choices
You can choose which services to connect, disconnect them at any time, manage scheduled or approved actions, request support, and delete your Closer account. Applicable law may provide additional access, correction, deletion or objection rights.
10. Children
Closer is a business productivity service and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as Closer evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice.
